2 Samuel 15: 12: And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom.
The twentieth century and this early part of the twenty-first century have been riddled with all kinds of conspiracy or claims of conspiratorial work. From the moon landing of 1969 to the fall of the twin towers in 2001 and beyond, so many claims and counter-claims have been made as various individuals attempt to assert their authority and supposed expertise on events that have happened in the world. There may of course be merit and truth behind some of these claims that conspiracy has been at work in certain key world events, and we should not for a moment discount that, however those things are not to be our focus as Christians, nor should we indulge ourselves in obsessive little side quests of believing everything to be suspicious foul play.
But the Bible does make clear that conspiracy exists, and it is within the boundaries of what the Bible reveals that we can safely and accurately be sure of what we are talking about. It was Lucifer who conspired to take Michael’s Kingdom in Heaven; it was Absalom that conspired to take David’s kingdom; it was Jezebel who conspired against Naboth for his vineyard to be given over to Ahab; it was the presidents and princes of Persia that conspired against Daniel for him to be thrown to the lions; it was Haman that conspired against Mordecai and the Jews for their extermination. Yes, the Bible does speak of conspiracy in many places, and we would do well not to ignore these things, for they reveal to us so much about what is taking place on the earth in these last days as Satan sets about to enthrone himself as god of this evil age when he incarnates the Pope after the Bride of Christ is raptured into Heaven.
Conspiracy has become a dirty word in the circles of the message because of how much of it has been pushed upon us via social media and other alternative media. As a result, we immediately ignore or shrug-off anything that remotely smells of the word, whilst at the same time failing to remember the words concerning Mystery Babylon spoken of in Revelation 17: 2: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. The whole world has been deceived and the deception is strong because Satan is the deceiver of the nations as proven to us by the words of Revelation 20: 3: And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. Conspiracy and deception go hand-in-hand, for by these Satan gathers the whole world for the great Battle of Armageddon in another attempt to overthrow Michael and His angels (Christ and His Bride).
