Genesis 5:21-24: And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
The prophet of God said in a few places that Enoch walked with God five hundred years, that Noah watched Enoch, and that when Enoch was raptured, then Noah got close to the Ark because the Flood was soon at hand. These statements of the prophet have been forged into all kinds of interpretations as different ones attempt to explain such statements when the Bible clearly describes it differently. It is not that the prophet is making a mistake, but that the people have elevated the prophet above the Bible and failed to compare what he said with how the scriptures record it.
The Bible states that Enoch walked with God for three-hundred-and-sixty-five years, and then he was raptured. Noah was not even born until sixty-nine years after Enoch was raptured. So then Enoch and Noah never knew each other, for the one was born decades after the other was raptured. In light of this, what then was the prophet speaking about when he said that Noah watched Enoch, and got close to the Ark when Enoch was raptured? The answer is that the prophet was speaking about the last days, for this is the only time when the antitype of Enoch and Noah are both living on the earth at the same time, and what was in seed form back there in Genesis would come to the harvest in the end time.
The Flood happened 1656 years after the Fall. Enoch was born in A.M. 622 (“Anno Mundi” is Latin for “Year of the world”). If Enoch walked with God five-hundred years, then he would have been raptured in A.M. 1122. And If Enoch walked with God five-hundred extra years after he “was not,” then we would arrive at A.M. 1487, which is still 169 years short of the Flood. Again, it is not that the prophet is wrong, but that many cannot separate generic statements and illustration from reality. If anything, it reveals a lack of maturity, sensibility, and balance in the people rather than the prophet being at fault.
If Noah had a timepiece that he watched to know the nearness of the Flood, then it was Methuselah. Methuselah is the oldest man on record in the Bible, whose name means, “His death shall bring.” The year that Methuselah died was the very same year that the Flood struck. So then Methuselah was Noah’s timepiece, just as we have Israel as our timepiece today.
It is this final age wherein Enoch and Noah are living on the earth at the same time, and that the one will be watching the other. Enoch represents the Bride whilst Noah represents the church and the foolish virgins. The modern church and the foolish virgins all claim that they are Enoch, they all claim that they are the Bride of Christ, but the hour is going to come when Enoch will go up to Heaven, and Noah will see it and get close to the Ark.
In that hour, the church and the foolish virgins will realize that they were not really a type of Enoch after all, no matter how much they proclaimed it. They were actually a type of Noah. So then, when the Bride is translated, the modern church and the foolish virgins will get very religious; the one will have desperate revivals and the other will actively seek out the oil of the Holy Spirit that they never had whilst sitting in the circles of the message. They will go into the Great Tribulation, even as Noah was on the earth when the Flood struck.
