1 Corinthians 12: 7 – 10: But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
Of the nine spiritual gifts named in 1 Corinthians 12, three are vocal gifts (prophecy, tongues, interpretation of tongues), and were largely seen in the Pentecostal Age, represented as the mouth of the Church body. Then there are three healing gifts (faith, healing, miracles), which were largely seen in the ministry of the prophet, who represented the eyes of the Church. Lastly, there is wisdom, knowledge, and discernment, which are largely seen in the Bride Age, representative of the mind or intelligence of Christ.
These nine gifts are called manifestations of the Holy Ghost, but they are not the evidence of a person having the indwelling of the Spirit. The Bible teaches clearly in Romans 11: 29 that gifts come without repentance, so as nice as the gifts are, they are in no ways a proof of a relationship existing between the recipient and the Giver of the gifts (Christ Jesus). A manifestation is a gifting or an anointing that a person has, but the evidence is an indwelling or a fire baptism of the soul, whereby the recipient has received the Word into their heart and have entered into a sweet fellowship with Christ on the basis of His Word.
