Zephaniah 2: 4: For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
In 2005 Israel disengaged from the Gaza Strip, evacuating the Israeli settlers, dismantling the Israeli settlements and removing its military presence. In the next Arab-Israeli War however, Gaza will be retaken by Israel, and the Palestinian occupation will come to an end.
