The world today has become filled with many flavors and brands of Christianity, but the way to identify falsity is not by studying false teaching but by studying true teaching. To identify a counterfeit dollar, an expert must study an original dollar, and by doing so, he familiarizes himself with the very finest details of that dollar and acquires an intimate knowledge of it. Then when he is handed a fake dollar, because it does not match the qualities of the original of which he is familiar, he is then able to identify it as counterfeit currency.
The same principle applies spiritually. A man does not need to study the many teachings and doctrines of the various movements of Christianity in order to find discrepancies in them. All he needs to do is study the original. Study the scriptures and study the message of God’s prophet (Malachi 4: 5 & Revelation 10: 7), ensuring that there is a continuity of subject and statement from Genesis to Revelation.
When looking at a subject in the Bible or a statement of the prophet, you must be able to trace it from Genesis to Revelation, and by doing so, you will develop an accurate and intricate oversight of the original and genuine; then when you are presented with that which is counterfeit, because it does not fit the pattern of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, you will easily spot it as a fake.
