Revelation 18: 21 – 23: And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.
Whilst preaching “The choosing of a Bride,” on April 29, 1965, the prophet of God broke into prophecy concerning Los Angeles, foretelling that it would slide into the sea. Of course, scientists have been waiting for the “Big One” to strike the state of California for some time now, knowing that it is not a matter of “if,” but simply a matter of “when” such a high magnitude earthquake will hit.
The 2009 blockbuster movie named 2012 depicted a worldwide apocalypse of disasters that had been predicted long ago on the ancient Mayan calendar. Among the scenes of disaster and devastation was that of the California earthquake (the Big One) wherein the city of Los Angeles is seen breaking up and sliding into the sea. Hollywood of course added much artistic license in its depiction of the earthquake that will forever change America and affect the whole world, but the dramatic event will happen nonetheless.
Added to this is the famous sequence of dreams by 17-year-old Joe Brandt which he had in 1937 whilst recovering in hospital from a brain concussion after falling from a horse. In these dreams, the young Joe Brandt saw the “Big One,” describing its impact in chilling detail, and leaving us with the haunting words of the ham radio operators, “This is California. We are going into the sea!”
In about 1935, the prophet of God prophesied that the sea would weep its way into the desert. When commenting on this prophecy, he mentioned that the ocean water would come in all the way to the Salton Sea. Thus when the Big One strikes, a colossal amount of land, totaling hundreds of square miles, will be swallowed up into the earth, and the ocean water will move inland, sweeping all the way to the Sonoran Desert of southern California where the Salton Sea is located.
How exactly the earthquake will be triggered is open for conjecture, but when it does happen, the waters of the Pacific will surely surge across the sunken land that has been swallowed up by the earthquake and millions of Americans will die. Such an earthquake will shake the whole world and send a tremendous series of tsunamis around the globe, causing catastrophic damage and tremendous loss of life. This horrifying event was immortalized in the eighteenth chapter of Revelation when a mighty angel took a millstone and cast it into the sea, declaring that the city of Los Angeles (symbolically called Babylon) which has poisoned the minds and corrupted the world with its Hollywood filth will be plunged beneath the Pacific waves, so that not even the light of a candle will shine anymore, for its flame will have been extinguished under the ocean water.
