Portals to another world

Genesis 28:16-17: And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

Exodus 12:22: And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

Jacob’s experience at Bethel when he fell asleep and dreamed of a ladder stretching from Earth to Heaven and the angels of God ascending and descending upon it, give us some clues about the parallel universe we live in. Jacob called Bethel the gate of Heaven. Of all the places that Jacob visited throughout his life, this was the only place where a portal to another world opened up and he was able to get a glimpse of Heaven.

There are only a few places in the world that act as gateways or portals into other dimensions or worlds, Bethel of course being one of them. These portals or points of access only open up at selected times or may open up once and never do so again. The Bermuda Triangle in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean is the most famous place in the world for its many cases of mysterious disappearances of ships and aircraft. Although all kinds of fantastical theories and logical explanations abound to describe its unusual phenomena, it is still a very likely probability that some of these ships and aircraft may have entered another dimension, and yet no time has elapsed for them since they vanished, regardless of how many decades have rolled by on the earth.

CERN, which is the European Organization for Nuclear Research, operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. It is located in Switzerland and was made very famous for its Hadron Collider, the world’s largest high energy particle collider. All kinds of suspicions and claims abound as to its experiments and attempts to open up a portal into another dimension. Again, these kinds of conspiratorial claims thrill the minds of those inclined toward such things, but if such experiments are truly happening, they are only futile attempts to access other worlds.

On Israel’s final night in Egypt, which was the night of Passover, the Hebrews were told to put the blood of the Passover lamb on the beams of their doorways. After applying the blood, they would then enter in through the blood-stained doorway and stay inside their houses. When they once more passed through that doorway on the morning of the next day, it would be for the last time, for they were going to leave the land of bondage and leave their old lives as slaves. In passing through that doorway on the morning of the next day, they would enter into a new life and a new identity, they would enter into a new realm and a new land. But it was the blood of the slain lamb applied to the doorway of their homes that transformed that doorway into a portal whereby they could leave an old world (Egypt) and enter into a new world (Canaan).

The blood of a slain lamb applied to the doorways of the Hebrews’ homes in Egypt on the night of Passover was only a shadow of a future Passover, when another Lamb would be slain and another portal opened up to us. Jesus was the Passover Lamb slain on the cross of Calvary, whose blood marked the beams of wood upon which He was crucified. The cross was not just an execution stake, but was a portal, a doorway marked by the blood of the Passover Lamb. The bloody beams of the cross were not a doorway to another place in this world, but are a doorway, a portal to another dimension, to another world. But to change dimensions, we must come through the doorway where the blood has been applied, we must come through the bleeding Word for the age in which we live, and by doing so we will go through that supernatural portal and change dimensions to be with our Lord Jesus for all Eternity.
