The seven church ages in Genesis

Ephesus

Eve came out from Adam in Genesis 2:21-22, just as the Church came out from Christ.

The Serpent beguiled Eve in Genesis 3:1-5, just as the Nicolaitans conquered the church (Revelation 2:6).

Smyrna

Cain slew Abel in Genesis 4:8, just as Catholicism started killing the Christians.

Pergamos

The name “Pergamos” means “Thoroughly married,” so in Genesis 6:2 the sons of God were marrying the daughters of men.

Thyatira

The Serpent, Cain, and Nimrod were unfolding expressions of Satan’s changing form, even as Satan is seen as the antichrist spirit, the false prophet, and the Beast in the Book of Revelation.

Sardis

Abram forsook Haran in Genesis 12:4, just as Martin Luther forsook Catholicism.

Philadelphia

God taught Abram about the blood covenant in Genesis 15:9-10, just as John Wesley took a message of holiness (the sanctifying power of Christ’s blood) to the world.

Laodicea

El Shaddai, the Almighty God (Genesis 17:1) gave supernatural strength (dunamis/power) to Sarah to conceive seed (Genesis 17:19), just as God visited this generation with a spontaneous outpouring of the Holy Ghost in the Pentecostal Revival.

The LORD visited Abraham in Genesis 18:1, just as God (Revelation 10:1) revealed Himself to the prophet (Revelation 10:7).
