Mark 7: 32 – 35: And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him. And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue; and looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened. And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
Mark 8: 22 – 25: And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.
John 9: 1 – 7: And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him. I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
The miracles of the deaf, the dumb, and the blind being healed after coming into contact with Jesus’ spit are very interesting to study. What is so fascinating about them is that when Jesus used His spit to restore the aforesaid mentioned in the scriptures, He was in effect transferring His own DNA to them!
DNA or Deoxyribonucleic Acid is the molecular genetic code for life in living organisms, so when the DNA or genetic life code of Jesus came into contact with those who were afflicted, their healing was guaranteed to them; thus the blind received their sight, the deaf could hear, and the dumb could speak. Furthermore, not only did Jesus’ spit bring healing to the bodies of the afflicted, but His breathing on His disciples made a way for the Holy Ghost to be loosed upon them at Pentecost according to John 20: 21 – 22: Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
