Exodus 14: 19: And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
Exodus 23: 20: Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
The Angel of the LORD was Jesus Christ that led Israel through the wilderness as the Pillar of Cloud by day and as the Pillar of Fire by night. The prophet confirms this in the message “We would see Jesus,” preached on June 12, 1958, telling us that the Angel of the Covenant was the Pillar of Fire, and then makes a striking statement that the Pillar of Fire was “Jesus in Jesus.”
Now this is neither a confusing nor heretical statement to make, if we understand that Jesus was always the Word before He came into flesh (John 1: 1, 14). Paul met the pre-incarnate Jesus as the Pillar of Fire in Acts 9: 3 – 5: And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. But let us establish this thought a little more clearly of Jesus being in Jesus.
When Jesus ascended to Heaven after the resurrection (Acts 1: 9), His corporal body remained in Heaven but His Spirit was sent back onto the Church (Acts 2: 1 – 4). So the corporal or physical body can only be in one place at one time, but the Spirit or theophanic expression of Jesus can be in more than one place at one time. This is beautifully demonstrated in Paul’s experience on the way to Damacus. Jesus’ corporal body was in Heaven, but the Pillar of Fire which is Jesus struck Paul from his horse, and yet the Spirit of Christ was in the believers that Paul was persecuting. So here we have Jesus in Heaven, Jesus hovering over Paul, and Jesus in the believers all at the same time.
Again, another example to spin the minds of those who think of Jesus only as a man wearing a robe and sandals… When the prophet was in his cave praying in 1946, the Pillar of Fire appeared as a Ball of Light, and out of the Light stepped the Angel of the LORD. Watch the scene carefully here. The corporal body of Jesus is in Heaven, the Spirit of Jesus was in the prophet by the rebirth, the Pillar of Fire which is Jesus hung in the cave, and out of the Ball of Light stepped the Angel of the LORD which is Jesus Christ. So not only was Jesus in Jesus as the prophet told us, but Jesus stepped out of Jesus in the cave!
This will no doubt blow the minds of theologians and intellectuals, but for those with a genuine revelation of the Godhead and who Jesus is, it is actually very simple to grasp. This revelation of Jesus is no different to the scene in Heaven where the Father is seated on His Throne (Revelation 4: 2), the four beasts are before the Throne (Revelation 4: 6), and the seven Spirits of God are before the Throne (Revelation 1: 4). The Father, the Cherubim, and the seven Spirits are all ONE God, even as the corporal body, the Holy Spirit, the Pillar of Fire, and the Angel of the LORD are ONE Jesus. When you gather everything back into the source, it reveals only ONE God, and this invisible Spirit of God expresses Himself in ONE Jesus, because the name of the expressed Spirit of God is Jesus Christ!
