As sons and daughters of God, there are three judgments we encounter in the Bible. The first judgment is the judgment of sin on the cross. This is a past judgment, when Christ took our judgment for sin upon Himself by becoming sin for us and shedding His blood to redeem us.
The second judgment is the judgment of a son. Once we have been judged for sin, then we are no longer judged as sinners, but are judged as sons. This is a present judgment, whereby we receive what Christ has done for us on the cross, and by repentance and confession begin to walk in the Light of the revealed Word for the age, letting It cross-examine us, deal with us, and change us from glory unto glory.
The third judgment is the judgment of a servant. This is a future judgment after the Rapture when we stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ to be judged for our life and service for Christ whilst we were living on the earth (Romans 14: 10; 2 Corinthians 5: 10). This is when rewards are given out and loss of reward is realized based on what we did or failed to do with what God had entrusted us with on the earth. This is not to be confused with the Great White Throne of Judgment that comes after the Millennium when we as the Bride are with Christ judging the lives of all those from the general resurrection who will be standing before us.
