1 Timothy 2: 11 – 12: Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
Romans 11: 29: For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
When Eve fell, she demonstrated that she was able to be easily deceived (1 Timothy 2: 14), and because of this, God took away the co-equality that she originally had with Adam, and placed her under a stern covenant of submitting to the headship of a man (Genesis 3: 16). Because she can be more easily deceived than a man, God forbade her to assume a position of preaching the Gospel before a gathering of people.
Regardless of the charge God placed against her, a woman can still be born with a preaching gift and possess an ability to teach the Word in a manner that surpasses a man. Women are still born with a preaching gift because God’s direct charge toward them does not remove the gift, but simply limits the usage of that gift. The denominational world has many examples of mighty women preachers who can handle the Word of God with great skill and deliver a message with such power and impact, but they are still out of order, and the Divine charge of God forbidding them to preach still stands.
If a woman with a preaching gift has received the Holy Spirit in her heart, then she will humbly lay down this gift and submit to God’s perfect will for her life, to be a faithful, supportive companion to her husband, and a loving, caring mother to her children. Her skills and abilities with the Gospel she will now reserve for her motherly role in raising her children to love the Lord and instructing them in His ways.
